Welcome

This is Static, a blog full of nothing. Read about encounters with bass-playing science teachers, an addiction to peanut butter cups, numerous moanings about parental authority, and algebraic rants, as told through the eyes of a spacey teen.

About Me

Hi, I'm Farah - a spacey, easily irritable girl, like no one you know. Old black-and-white movies, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, men's deodorant, sarcasm, writing are my vices. Likely the strangest thing you'll ever meet. More?

Guitar Hero Saved My Life

I'M BACK! And excruciatingly happy about it, to tell the truth - finally, I'm back in the blogosphere!

So what do you all think of the layout? The picture was taken at the Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado. It's a picture of my sister, really, but I wasn't about to but that up and I thought the background was pretty cool. So I just cropped her out of it x].

During my two-month...hiatus, I guess you could call it (I know, I know, I said one month before I left. I miscounted! Sorry.) we went to visit my dad in Texas, and then took a road trip! We went to Colorado - everything there was gorgeous, and the weather was great too - and New Mexico - a little more like Texas. But we still had fun, especially since we had our eight-month-old half brother, Ramsey, with us. He's so funny! Telling the truth, he's the only thing that can make me smile unconditionally, no matter what mood I'm in - nothing makes me smile if I'm irritated, except for him. And I'll tell you, on this vacation, I was in a mood maybe a quarter of the time. So that was good.

And back in Texas, we did many things: watched The Dark Knight (the most amazing movie ever, in my opinion - Heath Ledger totally deserves an Oscar for his performance as the Joker), watched way too many episodes of Seinfeld (a show about nothing! Who'd have thought it would be so hilarious?), rode my bike around the neighborhood about 10000 times (and ran into the cute guy who lives on my street a couple times ;]), and most importantly, bought Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. I've never been particularly keen on Aerosmith, having never really listened to them, but now I love their songs. Some of them, anyways, like Dream On, Rag Doll, Livin' On The Edge, Love In An Elevator, Pink, Kings and Queens, and a few others. I have to say, I'm pretty good - I'm actually the only one in my family who can really play. Right now, I'm on Medium, which is harder than I'd have thought. But I still love it.

School starts tomorow, and I'm ridiculously nervous about it - almost over-nervous, I guess you could call it. I hate the people in my class, and having had a two-month break from seeing them, I'm not in any huge hurry to join them. Also, I am not a morning person. Waking up at 6:30 am? Not really my thing.

Right, well, that's all, I'm off to comment sites and maybe play some Guitar Hero? Damn you, Rag Doll on Medium!
